Malanie Garan, Boss of the Trainer
After serving twenty years in police work, I retired as a detective and now operate Garan Fitness Consulting and train clients in my Metal Shop Gym located in Kent, Ohio.
I am a Certified Fitness Trainer and Specialist in Fitness Nutrition through the International Sports Sciences Association (I.S.S.A.). Additionally I have received certifications as a Strength Trainer through Nautilus and a Specialist in Fitness Training through the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy (O.P.O.T.A.).
With over 18 years of experience, I WILL get you the fitness results you desire!
Melanie Garan is the wife of Scott Garan. The two travel around the world, so she is responsible for seeing he doesn't blow all of his money on bodybuilding supplements and still enjoys life!! She does a great job keeping him in line!!

the Metal Shop Gym is a private training studio located in beautiful Kent, Ohio. The owner, Scott Garan, trains his clients one-on-one at the facility. The gym includes Nautilus brand machines, a treadmill, stationary bike, free weights including dumbbells, and a heavy and speed bag. With over 17 years of training experience, Scott can help you meet your fitness needs.

Chloe. Gym Cat.
Chloe was a stray left behind when some college kids left for the summer. Chloe was discovered living in some trees near the gym in poor health. Chloe was taken to the vet and nursed back to health and is now the guard cat watching over the gym.
Chloe chases bugs, mice and her tail as part of her cardio routine! She does no actual strength training that I know of.
