After serving twenty years in police work, I retired as a detective. The former lead fitness instructor at the University of Akron's (Ohio) Law Enforcement Training Center, I am now a personal trainer with my company being called Garan Fitness Consulting. Additionally, I own a private gym/studio for my client's called the Metal Shop Gym. I have been training people since 1995, with certifications through O.P.O.T.A, Nautilus, and the ISSA.

the Metal Shop Gym is a private training studio located in beautiful Kent, Ohio. The owner, Scott Garan, trains his clients one-on-one at the facility. The gym includes Nautilus brand machines, a treadmill, stationary bike, free weights including dumbbells, and a heavy and speed bag. With over 17 years of training experience, Scott can help you meet your fitness needs.
